The Thousand-Handed Guanyin, also known as the Thousand-Handed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin or the Thousand-Eyed and Thousand-Armed Guanyin, is one of the four great Bodhisattvas in Chinese folk beliefs. The Thousand-Handed Guanyin is the left attendant of Amitabha Buddha. Together with Amitabha Buddha and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (the right attendant of Amitabha Buddha), they are collectively known as the "Three Sages of the West". The Thousand-Handed Guanyin is a symbol of great compassion. She can silently protect you through all kinds of difficulties and eliminate all kinds of diseases. When your luck is good, she can make you even more glorious. When your luck is bad, she can remove all kinds of obstacles and defuse all kinds of disasters, enabling you to smoothly get through the critical moments and achieve a lifetime of happiness, peace and good fortune. The Thousand-Handed Guanyin is the supreme fruit of virtue in the Guanyin Sect. "Thousand" means boundless and perfect. "Thousand hands" represents the boundless and vast nature of great compassion, and "thousand eyes" symbolizes the perfect and unobstructed wisdom. According to the "Dharani Sutra", the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes can benefit and bring happiness to all sentient beings. It fulfills all their wishes and desires in accordance with the circumstances of each sentient being, corresponding to the five divisions and five Dharmas.
